Overall I had the best season ever, and I'm stoked. I finished my regular school season with personal records in all of my events.
I ran 10.81 in the 100m dash, and jumped a wind-aided 23'2" (it was waaaaaay windy tho, so my legal PR became 22'10")
So after the Junior Olympics are done, I start training at the University of Arizona! Yay! I'm so stoked, and 10x's more nervous. Whoa. Still hasn't sunk in yet!
Well, I hope everyone had a good season, and good luck with everything else!

Mod Post!
I haven't been active here in ... forever. I went away to college & had to quit running (which was awful b/c I was on the team in college - Division 1) because my injuries just got to the point where I couldn't function anymore.
But I just wanted to say I'm still around & am going to attempt to be a lot more active. So if anyone has questions, advice, etc this is defintely the place for it. I'm pretty good with the advice thing ...
Also - if anyone has quotes or whatever, post them here too :)

track has started in Oregon. It's my senior year, I didn't race last year because I was in pit for the school play. I've always desired to be a good runner, always felt I was capable, but never...quite did it. I did Cross Country for four years and pr'd my sophmore year and never broke it by much again. I did track, tried longer distance, shorter distances, nothing really suited me, but i've always felt more like a middle-distance runner.
I decided i'd run the 800 this year and so far have been pretty competetive. I ran a 2:15 my first time, which my coach was pretty happy with. I ran a 2.11 at our next race, a pretty big race, and all the runners were pretty impressed. Our next meet is thursday and my goal is a 2.07. It's faster, but I can feel it! Aha! I'm so excited to race. It's all I want to do.
Also, for fun I am running the 3000 after my 800. Just to see.
I've also been lifting weights pretty consistantly and I feel good about it.
Basically I just posted because I feel good about this season, much more than any last season. Is anyone else having a good season so far?
